How to Find Someone’s Address

“I’ve never looked through a keyhole without finding someone was looking back.”–Judy Garland

Here are four easy steps to learning how to find someone’s address.

There was a time when finding someone’s address meant digging through a phone book (if you knew what city they lived in) or asking around to see if anyone else already knew it. Outside of phone directories, finding someone’s address was a  job for private investigators. Finding a person’s address is a ton easier using the resources available to us on the Internet. These days, you hardly need to know a thing about a person besides their name to find their address.

1. Run a search on their name at ZabbaSearch.com

This website offers a scary amount of information on people, all for free. This should be the first place you turn when trying to find someone’s address. I ran a search at ZabbaSearch on myself and was presented with my last six addresses, in order, with absolutely no false or absent information — and I didn’t pay a cent for it. It helps if you know the proper spelling of the person’s first and last name as well as their age — ZabbaSearch presents information like “age” and “city and state” along with the name so you can narrow down your options. If ZabbaSearch doesn’t get you the info you need, you are left with just a few other options.

2. Run a search on their name at WhitePages.com

You’ve already been to the best people search option at ZabbaSearch.com — why should you go to the far inferior WhitePages.com? To make sure that, for some reason, WhitePages.com (or any other address or people search tool) doesn’t have information that ZabbaSearch doesn’t have. This is a rare occurence, but a handful of times I’ve been able to find someone’s address at a site other than Zabba after Zabba let me down. If you check Zabba and two or three other free people search pages with no luck, you’re going to have to take a couple of drastic steps to get the address you need — unless you have a phone number for the person whose address you’re looking for.

3. Google phone number search

If you’re lucky enough to know a person’s phone number (even a cell phone number will help) you can enter it, area code first, into a search engine like Google and hope for a result this way. What this will do is search all of the major “reverse phone number” services available on the Internet and return any potential results to you in one neat little package.

4. Use a Private Investigator service

If you need to find someone’s address and are willing to spend a little cash, you can hire the services of a private investigator. Find one in your area using the local phone directory, or search online for a person offering online PI services, which in this case are just as useful as going local. Private Investigators have many tactics of finding a person that we in the general public simply don’t have access to, or don’t know how to use. If the information you’re looking for is important enough, spending a few bucks to hire a “private eye” to help you find someone’s address shouldn’t be out of the question.
